Supported Payment Networks

Trelis payment links currently support payments over the Ethereum network.
While there are risks associated with using the Ethereum network - such as smart contract risk or risks of the network being attacked - the Ethereum network has:
  1. 1.
Maintained 100% historical uptime - unlike many other blockchains.
  2. 2.
Is supported by a large network of nodes (both validating and full archive nodes) that are well distributed across geographies and servers.
  3. 3.
Has a number of versions of node software, providing improved network resilience against a bug being discovered in one version of node software.
  4. 4.
Allows for the transfer of stable-value tokens in later iterations of Trelis.
This is why - although gas/transactions costs are high on Ethereum - Trelis has chosen to first support the Ethereum payment network.
Trelis is continuing to monitor the development of Ethereum and other blockchains to best support transfers to and from your Trelis Profile using secure payment networks.
